This year for Halloween I dressed up as a zombie bride, which was a huge achievement for me considering I’m usually just myself. Don’t get me wrong. I love the idea of dressing up. Every year I have big plans to make a costume and really get into the spirit. I spend hours Googling ideas, shopping for materials to create the perfect costume and convincing everyone that I’ll actually follow through. But every year – without fail – I lose steam and resign to a night of scary movies on the couch.
But this year was different. I was invited to a Halloween party and was officially warned that if I showed up sans costume, I wouldn’t be granted entry to the party. To the food. To the WINE! Needless to say, I dressed up. Special thanks to Goodwill for the $10 wedding dress. And to my mom for the crash course in sewing. And to Ernest for the photos.
